There are many ways to show your love on the last day of school….these sweet cinnamon knots are a perfect way to say thanks!

My kids got a laugh out of that last one….so I went with it:)

Anyway you say it….these little cinnamon knots are the sweetest way to start your morning. Why not make some up on the last day of school and deliver to your kiddos favorite teacher? That is a sure way to start the summer off right…and sure to get a giggle too:)

These little knots will go quick too so make plenty…..

Here is what you will need:

Rhodes frozen dinner rolls (I thawed out 15 which will make 30 knots)

1/2 stick of butter melted

1/2 C sugar

2 t cinnamon

1/4 t nutmeg

1/4 t ground clove

1. Thaw dinner rolls in a greased bowl. (Easy, just place bowl in fridge overnight)

2. Cut rolls in half with scissors.

3. On a sheet of waxed paper (makes for easy cleanup), sprinkle a bit of flour. Stretch the dough into a long piece and knot together. I just pressed the dough longways until it was “knotable” (I’m so technical huh?!?!). Combine the sugar and spices in a small bowl.

4. Once you have all your knots, dip them in butter, then in sugar mixture, place in a 8 by 8 pan that has parchment liner.

5. Let rise an hour.

6. Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes.

Seriously mouth watering…they are sure to be a hit!

Hi Tatertots & Jello friends! Kimberly from A Night Owl back again, sharing a fun and easy craft! Last time around we shared some Easter Egg Inspired Vases just in time for Easter. What did you think? I thought they turned out so cute and loved having them out for the holidays. But now that we’re a few days into May, my thoughts have of course turned to Teacher Appreciation! And today we’re sharing a cute gift idea – a Monogram Teacher Tote!

Now don’t get me wrong. I completely understand that teachers don’t JUST want a craft or handmade item as an appreciation gift. But being crafty at heart, I always like to do a mix of crafty and practical. And this tote is just perfect for that! I’m a big fan of monogram projects for making gifts personal. Then once your monogram tote is complete, you can stuff it full of goodies for your favorite teacher! Snacks, gift cards and more! So let’s run down the list of what you need and how to make the tote…

Supplies:

Tote bag

Stencil

Multi-surface paint

Foam pouncer or paint brush

Tape

Goodies

“Totes” printable tag

Directions:

• To help anchor the bag and the tote for stenciling, I put a cardboard box inside the tote and taped it down.
• I then arranged and taped down the stencil where I wanted the monogram on the tote.
• Using a foam pouncer, I painted in the stencil with multi-surface paint until well covered.
• I removed the stencil and let the monogram dry.

And the result – an adorable Monogram Teacher Tote!

Now just fill your bag with goodies and gift cards as you see fit. Anything your favorite teacher might like to kick off their Summer! You can even add a little tag with a cute “Totes” saying. I created one that says “Thank you for ‘TOTES’ being an awesome Teacher!” I have a couple of versions, just head over to my blog today if you’d like to download and print one for your teacher tote gift!

I’m also lucky enough to be married to a very talented graphic designer, who makes my visions a reality and then lets me share them all with you.

Today I’m here to share a project I whipped up using a teacher appreciation printable my husband and I created last year for teacher appreciation week. I have become a bit obsessed with my Cricut|explore and thought it would be fun to bring in an already made design.

To make this bag I created a new project in the design space studio and then clicked “upload an image”. I followed the screen prompts to upload the teacher appreciation printable (available as a jpeg and pdf). I used glitter iron-on vinyl. I found the glitter iron-on cuts best when the dial is between cardstock and fabric.

This is an affordable option to say thank you for all your child’s teacher does. The best part about a tote for teachers is: it is 100% useful! Trust me (former teacher here)–you lug a lot of stuff between home and school. You can find the printable here. I used the jpeg to create this bag, but it is also available as a pdf. I know my readers have found many uses for this teacher appreciation printable– creatively framing it, shrinking it down to make gift tags, etc.

It’s the end of the school year – I still can’t believe it!

Today I am sharing a gift idea that I think teachers will love. Who doesn’t love going to the movies?? I am sharing a FREE striped fry box template. AND, also tags you can add to the front of the fry box that say “Thanks for Making Me Feel Like a STAR”. I have designed two different labels in two different colors.

You can print these off on card stock using your own printer. Then just cut out the fry box and fold along the lines. A trick as you put the fry box together – pinch the lines that are curved.

You can fill the fry box with any type of candy that YOUR teacher likes. And then add a gift card to your local theater.

So easy and I know most teachers I have talked to have said that they love getting gift cards.
