Ingredients

  • package puff pastry (2 sheets)
  • 7-8 Tbs. basil pesto
  • 1/2 cup shredded Italian cheese blend
  • 1/4 cup chopped sun-dried tomato pieces

Instructions

  1. preheating your oven to 400°

  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

  3. Unroll the pastry roll and roll it out on parchment paper.

  4. Spread pesto on top.

  5. Sprinkle with cheese.

  6. Cut into 8 thin strips with a pizza cutter.

  7. Fold a quarter of the strip onto itself and continue folding to make a tree shape.

  8. Put a skewer through the center of the tree.

  9. Put trees on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  10. Put them in the oven at 400-degrees for 25-30 minutes.

  11. Take them out when they are browned and the pastry has puffed up.

  12. Add a cheese star to the top of the skewer.

  13. Serve and enjoy! Can be paired with marinara sauce or drizzled with balsamic glaze.
