Easy 10-Minute Valentine’s Day Wall Art

Here’s an easy way to decorate for Valentine’s Day or it would even be a beautiful handmade wedding gift.

And the best part is that it only takes about 10 minutes to create!

How to Make 10-Minute Easy valentine’s Day Heart Art

Here are the instructions to make this easy heart art!

Heart Art Supplies

• Square canvas (either a 10 inch canvas or a 6 inch canvas, or both!)
• paper flowers – you can use or make paper flowers, but also small silk flowers would be pretty too. Get creative!
• 2 Squares of scrapbook paper (9.5 square for the 10 inch canvas 0r 5 inches square for the 6 inch canvas)
• Glue dots
• Print out of heart template (below)
• brads – for the canvas corners (optional)

Directions to Make Heart Art

• Cut out a square of scrapbook paper
• Print off the heart template and then staple it on top of one of the scrapbook paper squares
• Cut out the paper heart using the template
• Attach the other scrapbook paper to the canvas. You can Mod Podge it or if you have a Xyron sticker machine you can run the scrapbook paper through and then attach it to the canvas that way.
• Then attach the heart to the canvas with glue dots.
• Take the paper flowers and place them on the heart, attaching them with glue dots.
• For a final finishing touch you can add sticky dot embellishments to the corners of the canvas to look like decorative nails.
• Then hang them up or arrange them on a shelf and you have instant Valentine art.

Galantine Ice Cream Cone Centerpiece

This is the easiest centerpiece idea. I put it together for Valentine’s Day this year but I have also used it or a fun Galantine get-together too! Either way it’s SO easy to create. You can use real flowers or keep the centerpiece on your table for as long as you like!

Spring Waffle Cone Centerpiece Galantines

Have you ever celebrated Galantine’s? We did a couple of years ago and it was SO fun! If you are thinking of throwing a galantine party, I have some tips and ideas at the bottom of this post!

I5-Minute Party Centerpiece 

We had such a fun time putting together the centerpiece last year that I knew I wanted to try something with a twist this year. Of course it had to involve WAFFLES. And flowers. Last year I bought the biggest size waffle cones I could find and I used grocery store flowers.

The year we threw the Galantine party used grocery store flowers, but all one color – PINK. This year I mixed pink and red flowers!

I do love the look of all pink flowers though!! So soft and pretty!

I used smaller glasses and tiny little waffle cones.I also found waffle bowls – aren’t they cute??

I put a candle in each the filled them with pretty red, pink and white candies. Then I put them on a long bread board and scattered candies all around.

How to Keep the Flowers Alive

The trick to keeping your flowers alive longer is to put a zip-lock baggie with a little bit of water inside each of the cones. Then put the stems inside the top of the baggie so the flowers still get water inside of the waffle cones. That way your GAL-antine or Spring centerpiece will stay alive longer!

Mine is still sitting on my dining room table – several days later – and it still looks just as cute!

This centerpiece would also be SO cute for a birthday party with an ice cream bar. A wedding with an ice cream bar OR a summer-theme party!!

DIY Greenery Heart Wreath

Make a fresh greenery foliage wreath for the new year. You can make it as a traditional round shape or add a heart-shaped wreath form for a sweet wreath that can be used for Valentine’s Day too!

How to Make a Heart Wreath using Greenery and Flowers 

My friend Melissa at Daisy Mae Belle first shared this wreath a few years ago on my site. I discovered it as I was going through my Valentine’s Day archive and decided that it needed to be reintroduced! It’s just as gorgeous and timely a few years late. It just goes to show that this DIY is timeless. You will use this Greenery Heart wreath for years to come!!

Greenery Heart Wreath Supplies:

Heart shaped wire form

Garland of greenery

Spray of wispy flowers

Green floral wire

Wire snips

How to Make a Heart Wreath using Greenery and Flowers 

Snip each of the strands of garland off of the base.

Wire the garland to the front of the form.

It should only take a couple of pieces of wire per strand.

Add the garland until the form is full.

How to Make a Heart Wreath using Greenery and Flowers 

Use your wire snips or simply pull the stems of the flowers apart.

You want to end up with several separate stems.

Randomly place the flowers around the wreath.

Wrap the ends of the flowers around the wire base to secure them.

Now you have a gorgeous wreath you can use for Valentines Day; or keep it up all year round!

I love to do special things for my kids for Valentine’s Day. Here is a simple free printable Valentine that you can print off for anyone in your life. Just add why that person is special to you. Valentine “You Light Up My World” Printables.

You can print one off and give it with a special note, along with a box of light bulbs. Or you can print off a few and write many different things that person does that are special to you and then hang them from lights throughout the house or in their room!

My friend Amy Dott’s dad actually came up with this idea many years ago and when Amy told me about it I thought it was just the cutest idea!!

Layered wood heart with scrapbook paper and glitter. DIY tutorial 

My new papers aren’t available online yet, but you can see in the photo I chose the pink with gold polka-dots. I love using this paper because I can actually get a shiny gold — something I can’t get from a home printer! (You can find the new line in stores.)

I combined the layered heart door hang with the arrow with overlay – both inexpensive kits from The Wood Connection!

Here’s how easy it was to make:

For the top arrow and the top heart, I spray-painted them gold – and sprinkled gold glitter over the top before they could dry.

I spray-painted the larger arrow and the largest heart an off-white color and the medium heart pink.

Once the paint had dried, I distressed the edges of the larger arrow and the largest heart. Then I traced the medium-sized heart onto the back of my polka-dot paper, cut it out, and used spray adhesive to stick it on the front.

I used hot glue to stick them all together, and added ribbons … and voila! All done!
