Clam Dip Recipe

It’s the holidays which mean parties, potlucks and dinners! This dip is a great option to serve for any party. I’m all about party dips and one of my current obsessions is my Crock Pot Apricot Brie Dip. Yum!

I love fantastic ideas that don’t require a lot of time or steps. Who does, right? This clam dip is one of those “mix it all together” recipes that turns into the most wonderful creamy party dip you’ll ever need. It’s a pretty forgiving recipe, so if you’d like to add ingredients, go for it!

How to Make Clam Dip

The only prep that would help, is having your cream cheese around room temp. I seem to always forget that part and it still turns out, so if you also forget, just carry on and make the dip!

Place your brick of cream cheese and about 8 oz. sour cream in a mixing bowl. I used my kitchen aid mixer, but you could use an electric hand mixer instead. Chop up a few scallions, add Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, pepper, onion powder, smoked paprika and a can of clams, mix it all up until it’s smooth.

I’d take a taste, just to make sure. Keep in mind that the flavors will come alive if you allow it to sit in the fridge for a couple of hours before serving. I could eat it with carrots, but there’s nothing like a salty ruffles potato chip that really adds to the overall taste.

If you like a little extra crunch, you can add diced celery.

Another great option is to sprinkle crumbled bacon on top. Everything’s better with bacon.

Clam Dip Recipe

Ingredients:

• 1 8-ounce brick Cream cheese, softened
• 1 cup or 8 ounce container Sour cream
• 1 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
• 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice, bottled or Fresh
• 3 or 4 Scallions or Green Onions, chopped
• 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
• 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
• 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
• 1 can chopped Clams, drained, but save a little juice to add to the recipe (2 cans if you really like clams)

Directions:

1. Place your softened cream cheese and sour cream into your mixing bowl. Mix until smooth with an electric mixer.
2. Add all other ingredients and mix well.
3. Let it chill for at least 2 hours, although I always eat some right away and it’s still delicious.
4. Serve with a thick potato chip like Ruffles.

I’m always looking for fun ways to wrap small gifts, whether they’re for neighbors, my husbands staff or even the paper guy.

These DIY Stamped Holiday Burlap Bags were so easy and I think you’re going to LOVE them!

DIY Stamped Holiday Burlap Gift Bags

Of course the bags alone with a festive ribbon are perfect all on their own, but if you’re a DIY kind of person like myself, I just can’t leave things alone. I just have to put my own stamp on it…… no pun intended.

I found my burlap bags online, but you may be able to find them at your local craft store or at least something comparable. Small cotton bags work well too.

Supply List:

• Burlap or Cotton Bags
• Holiday Theme Foam Stamps
• Foam Paint Brush
• Acrylic Paints
• Twine
• Printable Holiday Gift Tags (found on Today’s Creative Blog)

1. I placed a piece of cardstock inside my bag, just in case the paint bled through.
2. Coat your stamp with the paint
3. Position it and press onto your bag. If needed, take a small paint brush and fill in any area that doesn’t look well coated.
4. Tie bakers twine (any ribbon works) along with a holiday gift tag

This craft was so easy and quick. It was dry in about 10 minutes. Total craft time was less than 30 minutes.

Now that’s my kind of crafting and wrapping!

One of my most favorite creative things to do is iron on transfers! It’s pretty easy and doesn’t require a lot of extra skill and I can create some pretty cute things in 30 minutes or less. I love easy but cool projects. (My glittered Ornaments were super fast too!)

Iron On Transfer Santa Pillow

This year, I’ve trimmed down in the amount of Christmas decorating I’m doing. Life has been too busy lately and I would rather enjoy the season by simplifying my look this year! I figure by adding just a hint of Christmas in each room will still make it festive, but will also cut down on the amount of work in putting it all away. Of course I have the tree and the cedar garland and the lights and my Christmas Countdown……..but while looking at the holiday graphics at The Graphics Fairy, I was inspired to use a few to create holiday dish towels and pillows. These also make great gifts too!

This Santa Pillow is my favorite! It makes me happy every time I look at it and I think it adds a festive look to my family room. I loved it so much, I also made a dish towel.

How To Make – Iron On Transfer Santa Pillow

I use the iron transfers from Jolee’s or Avery. You can find them at Michaels, or Office Depot. The Pillow cover is from IKEA.

After choosing & downloading your image (I found mine at The Graphics Fairy) Print onto your iron on transfer paper. Run your paper through your printer so it prints on the non glossy side. All the directions are included with the paper.

Once you print it out, trim the edges.

Place the image face down onto the surface you want to apply it to. You’ll be using a HOT iron, no steam. Apply pressure while ironing. Don’t over do it, I’ve discolored my fabric before by holding the iron down too long.

Let it cool for a couple of minutes. Don’t rub the paper with your hand immediately after ironing…….because it hurts. Just sayin…… After it’s cooled, slowly peel the paper away and you should see your image on your surface.

I’m so in love with it and plan on doing a few more with other holiday images. Simple, fast and so cute! My kind of craft!
