I’ve added some boucle to our home and I love the cozy look and feel! I got these two oversized swivel chairs in our family room. They can face the couch for conversation, but can swivel toward the tv for viewing or all the way around to face the kitchen so people can talk to me while I make dinner!

I also ordered some Crate and Barrel dupe wood and boucle fabric dining chairs for the new banquette that I am working on! I love the curved couch that is in our main bedroom. It’s such a great place for us to unwind at night and watch tv. I also want to order a boucle storage bench for the end of our bed in our main bedroom!

Things I Love This Week

Happy weekend, friends! How was your week? Mine was good! This week Pumpkin had her first round of blood work and the good news is she gained a pound and a half last month which is amazing!

She’s doing so well! The big project I worked on this week was painting the tall french doors that are between my office and the family room.

I think they’re going to look so great! I ordered a new doorknob and It’s going to be so pretty!

New Projects

This week I have also been working on painting more of the window frames in our home black. I have a post all about what types of window frames you can paint, what kind of paint to use and tips on how to do it. Painting your window frames can save so much money over buying new windows!

Winter is the perfect time to work on home DIY ideas! This week we have some great projects to share that are perfect to make this time of year!!

Raising Funds to Save FIP Kittens

I hope you liked these ideas! Any commissions made on these affiliate links will go toward medicine for my kitten, Pumpkin. She was diagnosed a couple weeks ago with FIP (feline infectious peritonitis) a fatal disease. Luckily my vet told me about the FIP Warriors 5.0 Facebook group. You see there is a potential cure. There’s medicine that has been shown to be 95% effective in saving kittens but the drug manufacturer won’t let it be used for pets. So getting the medicine is VERY expensive and only a fraction of kittens can be saved. I am trying to raise funds to help other cats.

A Cure for Our Kitten Pumpkin

Any donations or commissions will go toward Pumpkin’s medicine and any funds raised above that I will put in a fund to give to shelters or pet owners to help save other kittens. How was your week, friends? This week sped by for me! I’m right in the midst of holiday planning and decided what direction I am going with our holiday home! I was considering going neutral this year. I found the most amazing rug that is natural with green and I was going to share green and white decor. Welcome Home Saturday

Happy Saturday, friends! How was your week? What are you working on? I got home from moving my son to Portland on Monday and honestly, was in a bit of a sad mood for a few days. I miss him so much. But I know he is where is should be and I feel really grateful to have been able to help him move and spend the long weekend with him, his friends and my girls. It was wonderful! Have you ever been to Portland? It’s such a fun place to explore. I am going to write up a little guide that you can access if you ever want to visit for the weekend!

Things I Love This Week!

Our New Airbnb!

I listed our new airbnb about a week ago and it’s been crazy! We are on our third guest and almost booked out through November. There was someone who wanted to rent it for THREE months. I knew I wanted to host an airbnb because I thought it would be fun but honestly I love it so much more than I ever thought I would! I love finding out about my guest and creating custom welcome baskets just for them!

It rained here last night and the weather is definitely feeling fall-ish! I’ve put my summer dresses away and I’m back in jeans every day now. I seem to be always looking for the perfect pair of jeans. Anyone else also on this never-ending quest?? This week I am sharing some of my favorite fall fashion items. Things I have recently bought and things that I have ordered, and great sales too!

You might not know it, but @modernglamhome is my sister! She lives in the Bay Area close to my mom and other sister and she has a gorgeous store in Danville, CA. She also sells online.

Dolce Vita Caster Boot in Camel

I saw on her @shopflaunt instagram account the most beautiful boots and ordered them. They came yesterday and they’re so comfy! I think she still has a few pairs left if you want to check them out and see the other beautiful clothes and home items she sells.

New Kick Cropped Flare Jeans

My friend Jennifer at @DimplesAndTangles has the cutest, preppy home and fashion looks! I have ordered a lot of the items she shares on her Instagram. I have been wanting to get some jeans that are less “skinny jean”, with a wider leg. She shared the prettiest cop flared jeans from The Loft. They are normally $78 but right now they were $49 PLUS another 20% off — I think the total came to $34. I am super excited to get them!

Blush Kimono Jacket

I stopped by Target yesterday as a reward for working so hard this week. I found the BEST transitional jacket. It’s a Kimono-style open jacket. But the material is super light and the sleeves are half sleeves so it’s perfect for Fall! I plan to layer a long-sleeved top underneath when it gets colder and wear it all winter too!

New Projects

This week I shared a really easy and quick wreath. The pumpkins are from Dollar Tree. I wrapped them with fabric from Hobby Lobby. The fabrics are so pretty! I made toilet paper pumpkins which are a larger size than the dollar store pumpkins. I put the toilet paper pumpkins in little vignettes throughout my home. This wreath is so easy to make and you can cover the pumpkins with whatever fabric goes with your decor!

Welcome Home Saturday

Happy Saturday, friends! How was your week? My husband whisked me away for a quick anniversary get-away. So HI from southern Utah! We are off to explore but first I wanted to pop in and say hi and share some of my favorite things this week!

Things I Love For Early Fall!

The weeks are just flying by at our house. We only have a few days left before school starts! This week I shared the fall @decorsteals box and the items are GORGEOUS! I have saved them in my “fall decor” highlight on my Instagram @tatertotsandjello page.

The Scandinavian candle is SO amazing! I didn’t think I was ready for fall but after seeing the fall items I cozied up our house. We’ve been having rainy cold weather and lighting the candles in the evenings felt so special! I also bought some fabric to make fall pillows!

Bathroom Remodel Updates

You guys, our main bedroom and bathroom is almost done!

My friend Frank at Frank Smith Renovations has done an amazing job bringing my vision to life. He helped me figure out the shelf part on the headboard wall I built. He is also tiling the fireplace in the bedroom and he built a special mantel for the top!

Now I am just waiting on the glass fabricator to finish making the glass for the shower enclosure and we can move into the room. Yay!

Welcome Home Saturday!

Hi friends! How was your week? This week flew by for me. My sister and her kids came to stay with us on Monday and we spent the week exploring. I am trying to convince her to move here by us so we visited some homes that were for sale and I showed her some of my favorite restaurants and shops. We had so much fun! How was your week? What was your highlights??

Remodel Updates

Our bathroom and bedroom remodel are still going and making progress! We have the tub in our new bathroom now and I am SO excited!!!

I went with a modern tub filler faucet with cross handles and I love the way the brass looks against the black walls.

New Projects

We welcomed my sister and her kids with a fun grilled potato packet bar. Everyone chose either sliced potatoes or cauliflower pieces and layered onions and butter plus salt and pepper and herbs. Then we put the packets on the grill for 30 minutes. Then we put together a topping bar with all kinds of yummy toppings like cheese, bacon, pepperoni and sauces for the yummiest meal. Everyone loved customizing their packets!

I also shared some of my favorite DIY Cane projects. We are working on our main bedroom and have some big things planned! One of them is an Ikea dresser hack using cane webbing. I shared some of my favorite cane projects as well as some cane products you can buy instead of DIYing.

Welcome Home Saturday

Happy Saturday, friends! How is your summer? Have you been traveling? Summer is going by so fast. This week my husband was off work so we went up to Park City and explored a bit which was really fun. Our bathroom remodel is coming along and we have tile!!

Here are a few pictures showing the progress. I went with a modern spin on classic black and white hex tile. It’s the same tile I put in the tiny bathroom in our basement airbnb and I love how clean it looks. The black grout will make it so easy to keep clean.

I picked out classic subway tile for the walls which pair really well with our 1891 home since subway tile was introduced around the same time as our home was built!

We carved out some space in between the studs in the wall between the toilet and shower. Since our home is old, we are lucky to have an en-suite bathroom. It’s small and I wanted to maximize as much space as I could.

We also started building a little half wall that will go behind our bed. I got the idea from The Merry Thought. Ours is going to be a little taller and we are planking the wall horizontally and painting it black. But I love the idea of having a wall behind our bed that I can decorate and add some plants to the shelves!

New Projects

DIY Ice Cream Cone Banner and Free Summer Printable

I made some big yarn pom poms with The Hook Nook’s pom pom maker and I have all of the info on how to use a pom pom maker on this post. I also used paper from my new Peaceful Heart paper collection to create cones. Make some pom pom cones and print out the ice cream cone printable and create a fun family ice cream party this week!

Are you looking for an easy gift idea or a craft to make with your kids? This 3-ingredient sugar scrub is so fun to make. You can also make it any fragrance you want! Sugar scrub is a great item to have during the summer. We keep ours in the bathroom. The sugar exfoliates dry skin while the coconut oil moisturizes which is wonderful in the summer!

We just carved out space in between the studs in our bathroom remodel so I compiled some of my favorite ideas in case you want to try something similar in your home!

Things I Love This Week

I thought I would share a few things I love for our new airbnb build! I’ve had so many questions about the MINT fridge in particular. I love it! It’s such a cute shape and size. I bought the same one in black for our pantry and it’s been such a nice fridge to keep drinks and things that take up so much room in our main fridge.

I found the perfect size curtains for the windows in the apartment. They’re black and white stripe and transparent enough that the sunshine comes in but people can’t see inside at night.

I put this console table in the main bedroom. I love the color. It would be perfect for a kids room or as toy storage.

SMEG Toaster

I love SMEGs! Getting a SMEG fridge wasn’t in my budget but I ordered a SMEG toaster for our little aribnb and I’m so excited about it!
