Happy Saturday, friends! It’s memorial day weekend! Do you have any fun plans?I We are almost out for summer break and I can’t wait. I am loving this NEW weekly series where I share some of my favorite things and hear YOUR favorite things too!! This week I am sharing some of my favorite summer ideas!

New Projects

This week was such a whirwind. We are done demoing our master bathroom remodel and now we are starting to put it back together. We have the plumbing done (thanks Frank Smith Renovations) and we should be getting our tub this week! I ordered a clawfoot tub because I LOVE the classic look and also I think it will fit our 1891 home so well! I wrote a post with some of my favorite clawfoot tub bathroom remodels if you want to check it out!

Airbnb Coffee and Snack Cart with Free Printable Sign

We are almost done with our bottom floor airbnb build! It’s turning out SO cute! This week I took an old wooden cart I found at my neighbor’s estate sale and upcycled it into a coffee and snack cart for the space. I also have a free coffee bar printable sign if you want to use it at your house!

DIY Backyard Fountains

I also rounded up some of my favorite DIY backyard fountains as well as some fountains that you can order if you don’t have the time or tools to DIY some.

Keto Strawberry Chocolate Trail Mix

I also shared my favorite low-carb trail mix. It’s perfect for camping or road trips this summer. I also love using it as a topping on my favorite low-carb yogurt! And my friend Heather is sharing her Loaded Cauliflower Grill Packets.

How to Make Giant Bubbles

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When we got home I saw my good Friend Rhonda posted pictures of her kids doing the same thing. I knew I needed to make some with my kids!

Giant Bubbles are fun to make with kids of ALL ages! 

Bubble Solution:

Pour the water into a bucket.

Pour the dishwashing soap into the water.

Pour the glycerin in.

Make the Wands:

Drill a hole in the end of the dowel.

Eye Hook

Cut a 100 inch piece of cotton string

Put the four washers through the 100 inch string

How to Make Giant Bubbles:

1. Take your bucket outside.
2. Put the end of the dowels in the bucket and the string should be submerged.
3. Bring the ends of the dowels up from the bubble solution, together until about chest high.
4. Then separate the dowels by pulling them outward so the string makes a triangle — pointing down. The washers will weigh the center of the bottom string down.
5. Step backward quickly so that the air goes through the bubble solution between the dowels and makes a bubble.

• 8 ears sweet corn OR 4 cups of frozen corn.
• 1 large red pepper, chopped
• 1 red onion, minced
• 3 large tomatoes, chopped, or 25 mini tomatoes, cut in half
• 1/3 cup cilantro, chopped
• 1/3 cup lime juice
• 1/3cup olive oil
• Salt and pepper to taste

1. Cut the fresh corn off the cob or add the frozen corn to the pot and steam for 3 to 5 minutes in 1/4 cup water.
2. Remove lid and cook, stirring, 2 minutes more or until water evaporates.
3. Toss the corn with all other ingredients and chill.**Be sure not to overcook the corn.

Makes about 6 cups.

Seriously, I could eat this every single day and not get tired of it.

And, it’s even better the next day
