I love an inexpensive and easy centerpiece. Today I am sharing how to create this sweet tissue paper valentine tree centerpiece. All it takes is a few supplies and minutes to create!

How to Make a Tissue Paper Heart Tree Centerpiece

Here’s how to make this easy centerpiece idea!

Use Branches

To create the tree, use real or faux branches. I had a olive leaf garland that I found on sale, so I just cut that apart to make branches. You can cut some branches from a tree in your yard or use faux branches. Find a container to use. I used a simple white vase. Then put your branches in your vase.

Cut Tissue Paper Hearts

I used two different colors of PINK hearts for my tree. I used about 8 layers of tissue paper and cut out three different sizes of hearts out of both colors of the pink tissue paper. But you can use ANY color or multiple tissue paper colors for your project. White would also be beautiful!

Attach the Hearts to Your Branches

Once I had the hearts cut out, I used hot glue to attach the hearts to the branches. If you don’t want to use hot glue you can use glue dots or even a dot of regular white glue.

Distribute the Different Sized Hearts on the Tree

I used the largest size of hearts first. Once I had those attached, I worked my way through the hearts by ize, ending with the smallest size hearts. I love using tissue paper for this project because the tissue paper is so thin and the light comes through the tissue paper hearts which I think is so pretty!

Display Your Tissue Paper Heart Valentine Tree

This valentine tree is so fun as a centerpiece for a coffee table or dining room table, but it would also be so pretty on a kitchen counter or island or even on a entryway console or bedroom dresser. The possibilities are endless!

Colorful Cottage Fall Kitchen Tour

Do you decorate for fall? I love decorating our home, especially in the fall. Of course I decorate our front porch and mantel but one of the other places I love to spruce up for Autumn is our kitchen! We spend so much time there that I think it’s a fun space to decorate too!

Easy Colorful Fall Kitchen Decorating Ideas

Decorating your kitchen may seem over the top, but adding just a few elements can really add so much color for fall! Come on in!! These are our Cavaliers — Trixie and Tourpel. Let me show you our home!!

Kitchen Remodeling on a Budget

We have been remodeling our kitchen for about 6 months and right now it’s about 75% done. We didn’t have countertops for awhile so we feel so happy to have countertops. Some other inexpensive things we did to update the space were taking out the upper cabinets and replacing the tile. We installed shelves on both sides of the hood and also built a square frame around the existing hood. I am going to write up a full post about the kitchen remodel soon!

Updating the Island

We updated the island by installing a new faucet and sink, plus painting the island a modern black color and adding really nice drawer pulls. To add a little color for fall I added some faux fall leaves in an oversize vase. I love the way it brings such a beautiful pop of bright pink/red to the room.

Adding a Kitchen Wreath

When I designed the new square hood I always envisioned being able to hang wreaths there. I made the simplest wreath ever by hot gluing little pumpkins to a grapevine wreath and added a pink bow. I hung the wreath with a nail in between the planks so I didn’t damage the hood.

Adding Fall Elements to the Kitchen Shelves

The open kitchen shelves are functional AND decorative! I added a few pumpkins, fall platters and a little saying to the shelves in addition to the normal items that I keep there — our drinking glasses, salt and pepper shakers, platters and baking supplies.

Pumpkins on Cake Plates

One of my favorite ways to decorate in the kitchen is displaying favorite items on cake plates. Throughout the year I love fresh flowers. I display them in water pitchers and often times put the pitchers on cake plates. For fall, I put a few of our favorite pumpkins on the cake plates.

Fall Dish Towels

Dish towels are a great way to bring color into your kitchen. I went with orange and pink for fall in our home. We always have pink items and I added orange into the mix for a fall vibe.

Bright and Colorful Mantel and Decor Ideas for Fall

We got a new sofa in the Spring. It fits our family much better, but I missed the color from my smaller teal couch. The new couch is grey with a kind of tweed feel. I struggled with how to bring my love of COLOR into our family room with this grey kind of masculine couch! Finally I had a decorating epiphany. I knew that my favorite color was bright pink. I decided to add some pink pillows to the couch. And loved it! Then I found a really bright and colorful rug and that changed everything for me!!

Bring Color into Your Home

Since then I have embraced my love of bright pink and brought the color into almost every room in our house. And it makes me SO happy!!

Bright Painted Pumpkins

So when I was decorating for fall, I brought out all of my Dollar Store painted pumpkins that I made last year. There were quite a few bright pink pumpkins, along with the other green, blue and orange pumpkins I painted.

Colorful Pom Pom Garland

I brought out a welcome sign and layered the painted pumpkins behind some textured baskets that I found at Hobby Lobby. I added a hot pink and natural wood bead garland I picked up from Target.

Bring Natural Elements with Plants

And guess what??? I FINALLY got a fiddle fig tree! I found it at Lowes. It was under $30 which is a good price. I had been looking around for one and they seemed to range around $100. So I bought two. I put the other one in my office. I put them in woven baskets. I love the way they look!

Colorful Throws

I put one of my wood pumpkins on a little boho footstool that I found at Hobby Lobby.

Bright Pillows with Texture

Now my couch seems like it fits our home so much better. I found a couple pretty pillows to add to the pink pillows.

I’m so happy with how our colorful pink autumn mantel and decor look! Sometimes I just have to sit and look around at how happy our home is!!
