Paper Butterfly Wreath and Free Butterfly Template

I love paper crafting! One of my favorite things about Summer are the beautiful butterflies. So I thought it would be fun to make some paper butterflies for a wreath. I am using my Jen Hadfield Flower Child line of papers, available at various craft stores including scrapbook.com and JoAnn Stores. We’ll be using these whimsical papers to create a stunning Paper Butterfly Summer Wreath that will add a touch of whimsy to any space.

Paper Butterfly Wreath Supplies:

1. Faux boxwood wreath
2. Ribbon (opt for a wider pink ribbon and a thinner yellow plaid ribbon for a playful contrast)
3. Paper (select six different designs from the Flower Child Collection for variety)
4. Gold wire
5. Hot glue gun

How to Make Paper Butterflies:

1. Print the Template: Begin by printing off the butterfly wings template from the provided resource. This template offers two sizes of butterfly wings, allowing for versatility in your wreath design.
2. Cut Out Butterfly Wings: Using the template, carefully cut out the butterfly wings from your chosen Flower Child papers. Remember, you’ll need both sizes of wings for each butterfly. Note that the bottom of the butterfly is narrower than the top.
3. Prepare Gold Wire: Cut a 12-inch piece of gold wire for each butterfly.
4. Fold Butterfly Wings: Gently fold the wings along the indicated lines for both the larger and smaller sets.
5. Assemble Butterflies: Loosely fold the gold wire in half and slip the butterfly wings inside the loop, ensuring that the wider, thinner wings are positioned on top and the thicker, less-wide wings are at the bottom. Pinch the wings together with your fingers and wrap the gold wire around them, securing them in place. Twist the ends of the wire to create antennae, then fashion them into spirals for a whimsical touch. Trim any excess wire using heavy-duty scissors or wire cutters.
6. Once the butterfly is done, lay it flat and use your fingers to push the folds so that the wings open up and pull the top wings to the top and the bottom wings to the bottom to separate the top from the bottom.
7. Create Multiple Butterflies: Repeat the process with all six different paper prints to create six large butterflies. Additionally, use the smaller set of wings to craft three smaller butterflies. Feel free to adjust the number and sizes of butterflies based on your preference.
8. Attach Butterflies to Wreath: Once all your butterflies are assembled, arrange them on your faux boxwood wreath in a pleasing configuration. Once satisfied with the placement, use a hot glue gun to firmly attach them to the wreath.
9. Add Ribbon Bow: Cut two pieces of ribbon, approximately 30 inches in length each. Tie them into a bow and secure the bow to the top of the wreath using hot glue.
10. Admire Your Creation: Step back and admire your Paper Butterfly Summer Wreath, showcasing the beauty of Jen Hadfield’s Flower Child papers. Hang it on your front door, above a mantel, or anywhere that needs a touch of summer cheer.

Other Ways to Use Paper Butterflies

I added these delightful butterflies to my wreath, but there are other ways you can use these paper butterflies!

• Add a small dowel to the butterflies and put them in a vase with flowers
• Punch holes at the top of the butterfly wings on both sides and tie the butterflies together to make a whimsical summer butterfly garland.
• Use small pins and pin the butterflies to a wall or over a fireplace to make the butterflies look like they are flying!

How to Print off the Butterfly Templates

It’s super easy to print off the template. Simply right-click on the butterfly template link. Then open it in a new tab. Right-click on the image again and select “print”.

Use Excess Paper to Create Paper Vases

I used the left-over paper to wrap around tin cans and create paper vases that match the wreath. So easy. Just measure the height of each can, then trim paper to fit and wrap it around the can, securing it at the back with either hot glue or tape. So easy!!

Easy Rainbow Butterfly Spring Wreath

I am loving rainbows for spring this year! There’s something so happy about all of the rainbow colors, especially for Spring! I made a Rainbow Egg Wreath a few weeks ago to go over our mantel. Then I made a rainbow butterfly banner to hang underneath. So as I was contemplating Spring wreaths, I knew I needed to make a matching paper butterfly wreath!

Simple Modern Rainbow Wreath

I love a simple idea. I used the same butterfly die cut and cut butterflies out in 12 different colors for this butterfly wreath.

Three Dimensional Butterflies

To make the wreath more interesting, I cut out two butterflies for each butterfly. This gives the impression of the butterfly flying! I also cut out two butterflies out of each of the 12 colors of paper. So to make the wreath the way I did you will need 4 butterflies of each color paper.

Supplies to Make a Rainbow Butterfly Wreath

You only need a few materials to make this rainbow wreath!

• 12 sheets of colored of card stock (each sheet is a different color)
• Sizzix machine. You can also use a butterfly punch or use a Silhouette machine.
• Glue Dots
• Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
• Grapevine Wreath

How to Make a Butterfly Rainbow Wreath

It’s super easy to make this wreath! Here are the steps to make a butterfly rainbow wreath:

Pick Out the Colors

Make this wreath in ANY colors you want! You can make it in one color or dozens!

Cut Out the Butterflies

I used my Sizzix machine and the butterly die cut. I’ve used this same die cut on a few other projects. I will link to them at the end of the post. But you can also use a butterfly punch or you can use a craft cutting machine too.

Decide How Many Butterflies You Need

My wreath form is 16 inches wide. I cut out two butterflies (four total since they are 3-dimension) in each color. 12 butterflies in total.

Assemble Butterflies

Take two butterflies, fold one in half and place it over the matching butterfly. Put a glue dot in the middle of the bottom butterfly and press the top butterfly to attach them together.

Butterflies on Wreath

Arrange the butterflies on the wreath before you glue them on. Evenly place the on the wreath.

Use a glue gun and glue the butterflies on the wreath.

There are a few different ways to display this wreath. I hung it on my kitchen hood since my kitchen and family room are in the same space. I have my rainbow egg wreath on the mantel on the same wall as my rainbow wreath. But I was also thinking about hanging it on my front door. It wold be cute in a kids room too!

Bee Kind Summer Beaded Beehive Wreath

I love seeing the bees in our yard during summer. I know that they are pollinating the plants and flowers so they bloom! I’ve been really fascinated with beehives, also called skepts, this year. I think beehives are the perfect theme for summer! I’ve made a few different sized beehives out of old pots and paper containers this year. I thought It would be fun to create a summer wreath with a beehive theme!

Make Beehives Out of Old Coffee Pods

As I was creating the beehives for this wreath I searched around for a very small container that I could wrap in twine that is beehive shaped. I discovered that coffee and hot chocolate pods are the perfect size and shape! I love recycling things to use as I craft.

How Do You Make a Twine Beehive?

I shared the process of making the beehives in my post about our backyard with DIY Beehive Instructions. So head over there if you want more detailed instructions. But basically you flip the pod over so the bigger size is down. Now add a line of hot glue to the base of the pod and wrap it with twine. Then continue wrapping the pod and glueing it as you go until you get to the top of the pod. Now wrap it along the top, cut the end and glue the end into the center of the circle you have created. To get a more rounded look at the top I folded up half a sheet of paper towel and taped it to the top of the pod.

Supplies to Make a Beaded Beehive Wreath

Here are the supplies needed to create this pretty summer wreath. I have links to the supplies to make it even easier!

• 14-inch Beaded Wreath Form
• Twine
• Coffee or Hot Chocolate Pods (I figure you can find these and don’t need links LOL)
• Greenery (I used 1 bunch of fern leaves)
• Yellow Flowers
• Pink Flowers
• Scrapbook Paper (I used paper from my new Pebbles Peaceful Heart line – now in JoAnn Stores!)
• Thicker Letters to Spell Out Bee Kind (I used the thicker letters from my Peaceful Heart line)
• Heart Embellishment (this is also from my Peaceful Heart line – at JoAnn Stores)
• Ribbon

How to Make a Summer Beaded Beehive Wreath

Here are the easy instructions on how to make this summer beaded wreath in under an hour!

Make Beehives

Wrap coffee pods with twine, Check out my Beehive Outdoor Post for more detailed instructions on how to do this.

Cut Fern Leaves Apart

Take the fern bundle and use heavy scissors or wire cutters to cut the leaves apart.

Glue Fern Leaves to Beaded Wreath Form

Take 5-6 fern leaves and glue them to one side of the wreath form, the ends will be at the center of the wreath, with the leaves spread outward. Glue the ends of the leaves to the center of the beaded wreath. Then glue the leaves along the beads so the leaves fan out along the wreath. Use as much glue as you need to get them to hold. Do this on both sides of the wreath.

Glue the Beehives onto the Wreath Form

Now place the beehives where you want them to go on the wreath. Use glue to glue them onto the wreath. I centered the beehives on the wreach so the base of the beehive was in the center of the beads to give it more stability.

Use Ferns to Secure Beehives

The beehives are pretty heavy so I also glued the beehive to the fern leaves to give it a little more stability. You can also place flowers under the beehives to give them more stability and help them stay centered. Use a lot of glue. You can also flip the wreath over and glue from the back to get everything to stay.

Add Flowers

Now fill in the wreath with your flowers. You can use the bigger flowers to attach them to the beehives and to the ferns and beads so that everything is secure.

Make Banner

Since my wreath form was 14 inches wide at the biggest point, I flipped my paper sideways to cut the banner wider than 12 inches. I cut the paper into a banner with the widest point at the middle – 3 inches high. Then trimmed the edges square. I placed the banner at the top of the wreath where it was 10 inches in diameter and folded the edges over the beads. But first I added the thickers and heart brad.

Add BEE KIND Thickers and Heart Brad

Then I measured the middle of the banner and added the heart brad. I then added the BEE on the left side of the brad and the KIND on the other side.

Attach Banner to Wreath

Then I put the banner at the top third of my wreath, folded the edges over the beads and glued both side of the banner to the beads on both sides of the wreath so the banner was taught across the wreath.

Add Ribbon

I added some happy yellow ribbon to the top of the wreath, tied it in a knot and hung it up! So Simple!

Hang It Up

Now you can hang it up on your mantel, on a wall or on your front door! I am going to hang it on my front door this week. I plan on creating a Bee-Themed Summer Porch. So stop by in a few days to see how it turns out!

Spring Butterfly Pennant Wreath

This bright and cheerful spring wreath will welcome visitors and create a festive front door or freshen up a wall for the season. I love how easy it is to create! The butterflies are cut out of scrapbook paper so it’s easy to match them to the color of your door or home decor!

Spring Wreath Ideas

Cut Butterflies Out of Paper for Spring Wreath

Once you pick out the paper patterns you want to use on your wreath, it’s time to cut them out. There are several ways you can do this.

• Use a Die Cut Machine with a Butterfly die.
• A craft cutting machine.
• Cut butterflies using a butterfly punch.
• Buy butterfly ephemera. The gold and white butterflies are ephemera in my Pebbles line. Here are the gold and white butterflies. The black and white ones are here.
• Draw simple butterfly shapes and cut them out with a small pair of scissors.

I used my Sizzix Vagabond Die Cut Machine and a thin cuts butterfly pack with three different size butterfly shapes. If you are interested in how a Sizzix die cut machine works, I have a post about How to Use a Die Cut Machine you can check out!

Jen Hadfield Reaching Out Paper

I used my new Pebbles Jen Hadfield Reaching Out paper line for this project! You can buy the paper either individually or in a big 12×12 book! The paper line will be in JoAnn Stores this month! I am so excited!!

Create a Big Pennant

You can sew a pennant out of canvas. Or you can buy one. Here’s a link to a pair of pennants that that you can buy and use one on the wreath.

Make a Spring Saying on the Pennant

I wrote “Spread your wings and fly!” on my pennant. I think the saying is perfect to go along with butterflies! But you can spell out anything that you want. I used thicker letters from my Pebbles “The Avenue” line. I love the floral pattern on these thickers. Other ways you can add letters to your pennant are cutting out letters with a die cut machine, using thickers, cutting out letters with a craft cutting machine or hand lettering a saying with permanent pens! Thickers do have adhesive backs but since I was adding the thicker letters to fabric, I added a dab of hot glue to the back to make sure they stay on the pennant.

Attach Butterflies to Wreath

I also added the butterflies to my wreath with hot glue. If you are using the wreath inside and don’t want to damage the leaves, you can add the butterflies with glue dots instead of hot glue.

Put a Bow on Your Wreath

The last thing you will want to do is add a bow to the top of the wreath. I created the bow, then attached it to the wreath with a small piece of wire. I hung the pennant on the wreath by looping it over the bow.

Enjoy a new Spring Butterfly Wreath

Hang the wreath on your door, or on a wall or a mantel. The butterflies and spring saying will add spring cheer to your home!

Create a Spring Porch

I added my new spring butterfly wreath to my spring porch. Since my porch is covered I think the paper butterflies will be fine. If you don’t have a protected door I would either mod podge the butterflies with outdoor mod podge or laminate them before you add them to your wreath.

My friend at Nicole at Nickle Designs sent me the cutest porch mats! This is the Spring Blooms mat with their black and white boho rug underneath!! Isn’t it the cutest!! Paper flowers are inexpensive to make and you can make them in any color to match your home by using paper that you love! Make a Paper Flower Wreath for Spring

Spring is the perfect time to make a paper flower wreath! This spring wreath is easy to make plus the metal wreath form is modern and so pretty!

How to Use a Die Cut Machine to Create Paper Flowers

I have made paper flowers by hand and while it is super fun, creating intricate flowers really elevates your wreath. Of course you can cut flowers out using a craft cutting machine like a silhouette or cricut, but if you don’t have a craft cutting machine, there is another solution! Die cut machines have been around for a long time. I’ve had a Sizzix big shot for about 10 years. I recently started using the new Sizzex Vagabond electric machine. And let me tell you, it makes creating paper flowers even easier! I thought it would be fun to share how to use the new Sizzex Vagabond electric die cutting machine.

Familiarize Yourself With the Die Cut Parts

The Vagabond has a main unit. By pushing the tab in the middle of the unit, the two sides fold down, revealing the inside of the unit where the die and parts go through the machine and the paper is cut. Included with the Vagabond are:

• Pair of Standard Cutting Pads
• An Expanded Platform
• An Extended Wafer-Thin Die Adapter

You use different pads and adapters with different dies. There are instructions on both the dies that you purchase and on the cutting pads to tell you which cutting pad combinations work for the dies you are using.

Assemble Paper Flowers

The die cut I used is the Thinlit Flower. It consists of 5 layers – the outer petal of the flower, the inner petal of the flower, two smaller insides shapes and a leaf shape. When using a die cut machine you will cut out each layer separately. Decide what pattern paper you want for each layer of the flower. Then cut paper to the size of the plate. Layer the paper over the die cut and sandwich it in between the cutting pads. Run the pads with the die and paper through the Vagabond by pushing the button on the top of the machine.

Cut Out Paper Leaves

Once the paper flowers are cut out, begin cutting out the paper leaves. Cut out as many as you want to add to your wreath.

Attach Paper Flowers and Leaves to Hoop Wreath

Assemble each flower by using a pencil to roll the flower layers up toward the center and hot glue each layer together.

Use Paper Behind the Flowers to Attach to Wreath

Because this wreath form is very narrow, it can be harder to attach the flowers to the wreath than it is with a traditional wreath form. I found that to attach the flowers and have them hang straight, I needed to put a square of paper behind each flower to anchor the flower to the wreath form. Once your flowers are assembled, place a small square of paper under the wreath form. Add hot glue and then put the flower on top of the paper square. I did the same thing with the paper leaves. I cut out a narrow rectangular piece of paper and put it under the wreath form, Then I put hot glue on top of the wreath form and paper. Then I placed the leaves on top of the paper, fanning out away from the flowers.

Hang Paper Flower Hoop Wreath

After the flowers and leaves have been glued on the wreath it’s ready to hang! If you want to hang the wreath on your wall or a door, just use a length of ribbon, tie it at the top of the wreath and hang it up.

Enhance a Letter Board with a Paper Flower Hoop Wreath

I used the paper flower wreath I created to enhance a letter board and placed it on my mantel. I love the way it looks with the spring saying in the middle. It really gives my mantel a finishing touch for Spring!

I love paper crafting – especially for home decor and one of my favorite things to make is wreaths! Take paper, cut out leaves and create a beautiful fall wreath.

How Do You Cut Out the Paper Leaves for an Autumn Paper Leaf Wreath?

There are a couple of different ways that you can cut out the leaves for your wreath. If you have a craft cutting machine you can buy a leaf file and cut them out with your machine. If you don’t have a craft cutting machine, just make a leaf the size that you want for your wreath by sketching it on a piece of card stock paper. Then cut that leaf out and trace it onto the paper you want to use for your wreath.

What Supplies Do You Need to Make an Autumn Paper Leaf Wreath?

There are just a few supplies needed to create this wreath. Here they are:

Wreath Form

Fabric to Cover the Wreath Form (or Ribbon)

Hot Glue and Glue Gun

3 Scrapbook Papers

I used the copper metallic paper from the This Is Family line, plus two coordinating plain papers.

Embellishments

I used embellishments from This Is Family line.

Letter board

The letter board I used is the DCWV Wood Board.

How to Make an Autumn Paper Leaf Wreath

Wrap The Wreath Form

I used a thin neutral fabric to wrap my wreath form. You can also use ribbon. Hot glue the beginning of the fabric to the wreath form and then wrap evenly and finish off by hot gluing the other end to the wreath form. If you are using fabric, rip or cut the fabric into 4-inch lengths.

Cut Out Leaves

Use your craft cutting machine to cut out leaves out of the three different scrapbook papers. My leaves were 5 inches long by three inches wide. Use 12 x 12 pieces of scrapbook paper for the plain colors. Cut out 25 leaves out of each of the plain papers. I cut out 12 leaves out of the metallic paper.

Score the Leaves

If you buy a leaf file for your craft cutting machine, you can buy one that is also scored which is nice. If you are cutting out the leaves by hand, you can fold the leaves by using a ruler. Take the ruler, lay it in the center of the leaf.

Then fold the leaf at the center, the ruler will hold it and make the line crisp.

Hot Glue The Leaves to the Wreath Form

Place the leaves on the wreath form first before you start hot gluing. Hot glue the plain paper leaves to the wreath form. Have all of the leaves face the same direction. I hot glued one plain color leaves first, then I layered the second leaves over the first color. I hot glued the metallic paper leaves on at the end.

Add Embellishments

I added a few cute embellishments from the This Is Family line. You can use any embellishments that you want.

Place the Wreath Over Your Letterboard

If you want to use the wreath with your letter board, you can add a ribbon loop at the top of the wreath underneath and then have it loop over the top of the letter board and attach to a peg that you hot glue onto the back of the letter board. This way you can switch the wreaths out on your board!

What Size Wreath Form Do You Use With The Letterboard?

The DCWV letter board I used is 12 inches wide. I knew I wanted the wreath to be wide enough that I would still be able to spell things on the board without having them be obscured. I chose a 16 inch wide wreath form. It’s 16 inches wide from the outside and has 12 inches clearance inside. That way I could have leaves that went inside the wreath and still have room to spell things on the letter board.

Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays to decorate for! I have been sharing a live tutorial each week on my @tatertotsandjello Instagram page. Last week I shared my Snowflake Porch and an easy Snowflake Wreath made out of popsicle sticks. At the end of the tutorial I asked for suggestions for the next tutorial and quite a few people responded with a Valentine’s Day wreath!

Bright and Colorful Office Gallery Wall

Meanwhile I have been working on my office space and a fun gallery wall there. I have a new line of paper coming out with Pebbles, Inc. called Chasing Adventures. It’s so cute!!

Frame Scrapbook Paper for a Gallery Wall

I decided to frame some of the papers and embellishments in a bright and colorful gallery wall for my work space. It was so fun to do! I decided that the gallery wall needed a little wreath. And since the rest of the gallery wall was framed paper, I thought it made sense to make a paper wreath!

Conversation Heart Wreath

So I made a few variations of this paper wreath! One is for Valentine’s Day. I made a little heart in the middle and it reminded me of a conversation heart, so I added a little saying to it. You know – like the ones you see on a conversation heart. Mine says Be Mine — but other ideas could be: True Love, Be Mine , 4 Ever, Call Me, Crazy 4 U, Sweet Talk, Hey You, LOL, I Heart U, Cutie Pie, XOXO… It’s up to you!

I also made one that is going to stay on my gallery wall that features the adorable paper with my line’s girls and inside the heart says — SMILE.

Ways to Customize This Wreath

There are so many ways you can make this wreath. You can create one for Valentine’s Day OR you can create one that can stay up all year! There are millions of ways to make this — just add YOUR favorite papers and ribbons and saying. SO fun!

Make a Valentine’s Day Floating Conversation Heart Wreath

Here’s how to make a Valentine’s Day Conversation Heart Wreath!

Supplies:

Chipboard Wreath Form

Chipboard or Wood Heart

Adhesive or Mod Podge

Scrapbook Paper (2 coordinating patterns)

Ribbon

Thread

Hot Glue

Directions:

1. Trace your chipboard wreath onto the back of the scrapbook paper you want to use.
2. Cut out the wreath shape.
3. Trace and cut out the chipboard or wood heart.
4. Paint the edges of the wreath (optional).
5. Use Mod Podge or adhesive to attach the paper to the chipboard wreath form and heart.
6. Add ribbon. I made a circle of ribbon with about 3 inches at the top and secured it with hot glue. Then I added the bow to the front of the wreath. 
7. Add the thread. Flip the wreath and the heart over. Add a line of hot glue on top of the ribbon and another line of hot glue on the back of the wreath. Attach the thread to the top of the wreath and the heart. Pull the thread tight through the hot glue so the heart will hang at the correct length inside of the wreath. (see picture)
8. 8. Add the saying to the heart.
9. Hang up your wreath!

You Can Paint The Edges of The Wreath

You can paint the sides of your wreath if you want. I did this on a couple of the wreaths. I wouldn’t recommend spray painting the chipboard wreath form. Since it’s made of pressed paper, getting it too wet might make it warp.

How to Protect a Wreath From Outdoor Elements

Also if you want to hang this wreath on your front door, you can use Outdoor Mod Podge to attach the paper to the wreath and heart. Then just use a layer of it over the top to seal it from the elements. I probably wouldn’t put it on a front door that isn’t protected by a awning or porch. Just because the base is made of chipboard. But if you add a couple layers of Outdoor Mod Podge I think it will hold up on a protected porch.

Make Hoop Paper Flower Wreaths! I love the look of hoop wreaths! They are so modern and pretty! And I’ve been making paper flower wreaths for a long time. The first one I made is still one of my favorites:

Tatertots and Jello Spring Paper Flower Wreath 

I thought it would be so fun to make a hoop wreath using paper from my Heart of Home line. And I love the way they came out! You can make your wreath as big or small as you would like. You can buy hoops in different sizes and then just cut out as many flowers are you want.

I also added some words from a word paper in my Heart of Home line. I created some little tags and added a tag to each wreath. Tags are so easy to make and a great handmade addition to a present. People love handmade items because they are special.

To create the flowers we used a cutting machine. I’ve been using my Silhouette machines for YEARS. There are literally millions of projects you can create with a cutting machine. I made my GIANT signs with my Silhouette machine  too. If you don’t have a cutting machine you can also create paper flowers by hand, it just takes more time.

Once I had all of the flowers cut out with my Silhouette, I assembled the flowers and added brads to some. Then I laid them out by my hoops until I had a pleasing arrangement. I used a glue gun to attach the paper flowers to the hoops. I also hot glued the tag onto the hoop and flowers to secure it.

I think this smaller size hoop wreath would be so cute with a gallery wall. Or it also makes an adorable gift idea. You can make a bigger sized hoop wreath as a focal point on a wall or over a fireplace. I made two and hung them together and I think hanging two together is really different and striking.

My blog is called All Things Heart and Home because I believe everything I do in my home is a reflection of my heart. From the smallest things like putting together a craft project to bigger endeavors like remodeling our kitchen …everything is a way to express love and creativity. Jen sent me a box of her amazing paper line and it was really difficult to pick just one project! I’m inspired by the patterns, colors of the papers and the fabulous creative accessories. I have a to-do list of things I’m going to make with everything I got, but today, I’m going to show you an easy paper wreath using three of my favorites from Jen’s papers…

I added a few feathers and I’m thinking this wreath could be used for most seasons or would be really pretty as a party decoration!

If you have a second…I’ll show you just how easy this is to make!

Here’s What You Need:

*3 different 12 x 12 patterned papers (I used Aqua Skies & Love Seat from the Home Made Line) The number of sheets depends on the size of your wreath!

*Paper cut into 2″ strips to wrap wreath (this won’t show – I used plain white paper)

*Styrofoam Wreath Form (I used a 12″)

*Feathers that coordinate with your paper

*Double Side Tape

*Straight Pins

*1 floral pick & piece of string for hanging

*Scissors

*Paper Trimmer (Optional)

*Glue Gun
First, cut paper into 3″ strips…

Make each strip a fringe by cutting narrow slits from the bottom to about 1/2 ” from the top. (The uncut room at the top of each strip is for your double side tape!)

Put a piece of double side tape along the top of each strip of fringe and make branches by rolling into a spiral – starting at one corner. (Roll at an angle)

Cover your wreath with strips of paper using the double side tape to keep it in place. This paper can be plain white paper as it won’t show…the purpose of the paper is to protect the Styrofoam from the hot glue!

Play around with the placement of your paper branches using the straight pins. (I had to work with them, rearranging the branches a couple of times before they were just right!)

When the branches are where you want them, add dabs of hot glue to make certain they won’t move!

Add some feathers here, there and everywhere! (you can dip the end of the feathers in a bit of hot glue to keep them in place)

To hang, tie a piece of string around a floral pick inserted into the back-top of the wreath… (It’s really light weight!)

Jen has so many beautiful papers, you’ll be able to find some that will be perfect for your home!
