Free Patriotic Banner. Celebrate Fourth of July and Memorial Day with these printable banner. Just print, cut and you have INSTANT decor!

Free Printable Patriotic Banner

Hi there! I’m Kristin back again from Yellow Bliss Road with some patriotic printables for the 4th of July! I love the 4th of July. Barbecues, friends, fireworks, what’s not to love?? It’s hard to believe that it will be here in just a little over a month, and we will be smack in the middle of summer already! It’s that time of year when people start thinking about adding a little patriotic color to their homes so I’ve designed a fun free printable patriotic banner for you.

Two Versions of Patriotic Banner – Red and Blue

There are two versions of the banner, one with red lettering and one with blue. Or you can mix it up and do a red and blue combo. There are also some pattered flags that you can add to either side of the banner.

Printable Banners Make Instant Party Decor

The banner would be a fun way to add some color to your 4th of July barbecue, or just to add some Americana to your mantel.

How to Print This Patriotic Banner

To put the banner together, you’ll want to start by printing the banner on cardstock. If you want the most vibrant colors, I’d recommend having it printed at a copy shop like Office Depot. It’s usually around fifty cents a page. Cut the flags out that you want to use and attach them together with twine by punching holes in the corners and stringing the twine through. You could also ties the corners together with some pretty ribbon.

Coordinating Patriotic Printables

You can also find some coordinating printables at Yellow Bliss Road today. I’ve got Free Printable 4th of July Trivia Cards and Printable Envelopes that double as utensil holders!

These would be super fun for a neighborhood party or for stumping your kids!

Hi Tatertots & Jello friends! Kimberly from A Night Owl back again, sharing a fun and easy holiday craft! One of my favorite things about the Fall holiday season is candy corn! Don’t you just love it? When the stores line their shelves with the sweet and colorful candy, fun to eat but even more fun to craft with don’t you think? And today we’re showing how you can do both in style with these Candy Corn Treat Jars!

How to Paint a Candy Corn Treat Jar

I love to have jars of candy corn around the house during this time of year. Not only are they fun sweet treats, but I just love how the colors can add to both your Halloween and Fall decor! And these sweet little jars will help you do just that. So let’s chat about how easy they are to make so you can run out and make your very own jars too! I picked up my jars at the dollar store, aren’t they perfect? You don’t need anything expensive to get started… Supplies:

Glass jars with lids

White spray paint

Orange acrylic paint

Yellow acrylic paint

Paint brushes

Sand paper (optional)

Painter’s tape (optional)

Directions:

Paint Your Jar White

First you’re going to want to seal your jar shut with the lid so no paint gets inside, then spray paint the entire outside of your jar with white spray paint. Several thin coats work the best, making sure the jar is dry between each coat.

Paint the Bottom of the Jar Yellow

Once you’re happy with coverage and the jar is completely dry (best to let dry overnight), paint the bottom third (or so) of your jar with the yellow acrylic paint. You can use painter’s tape here if you’d like for completely perfect lines, but I chose to free hand.

Paint the Middle of the Jar Orange

Once that layer is dry, paint the middle third (or so) of your jar with the orange acrylic paint. Again, you can use painter’s tape here as well if you prefer.

Dry Overnight

Once your paint layers are complete let the jars dry completely and cure, again best to let this stand overnight.

Sand the Jars a Little to “Rough” up the Lids and Edges

Once they are dry, if you’d like, you can take a little sand paper to them to “rough” up the lids and edges. I love the look of distressed jars so I did just that!

Hey TT&J readers, it’s Holly from My Sister’s Suitcase. It’s been a while since I’ve been here so I’m glad to be back, just in time for my favorite season of the year, Fall. I try to get some of my autumn decor up before Halloween, so I can keep it up all season long. The other day I found these awesome mustard yellow balls in the floral department at Hobby Lobby, and as I was looking around the store I made the best discovery ever! Did you know they sell aged barn wood slats in bundles? I found this pack of six 28″ boards for $7.99! So I decided to try my hand at making a pallet barn wood sign for my Fall mantel.

I love how the mustard balls add texture and dimension to the sign, in the perfect color palette for Fall. Making the barn wood sign was so easy! Sometimes I am intimidated by any project that can’t be held together with hot glue, but I was surprised how simple it was. Here’s what you’ll need:

Materials

Woodpile natural barn wood bundle (28″) from Hobby Lobby

Woodpile natural bard wood bundle (14″) *optional

hot glue

nails & hammer

Mustard floral balls from Hobby Lobby (I used 2 bunches for this sign)

Start by laying out your boards, face down, with the desired spacing in between slats:

On the back, use two of your 14″ boards to lay vertically and secure the other boards together. If you have some scrap wood laying around, that would work too! At this point, I used my hot glue gun to glue the 2 anchor boards down. This was basically just to hold the sign together before I used the nails to secure it.

I hammered one nail per board, so there were a total of 6 nails across the back on each side. Make sure your nails are the correct length to go into the boards, but not show through on the front side!

Once my barn wood sign was complete, I was ready to add the word Fall. Use chalk to write out your word on the sign:

Then start gluing the floral balls on to the sign with hot glue, following the chalk design.

That’s it! I love the finished result, and it’s a fun, whimsical addition to my Fall mantel:

*****

Thanks Holly! Such a gorgeous sign. It’s perfect for fall! I love the mustard felt balls are such a pretty color for fall too!

Hello everyone! My name is Michelle and I blog over at Delicate Construction where I like to make things that are adorable, affordable and attainable and that is exactly what I have to share with you today!

Home Made Paper Beads

I have loved every piece of Jen’s new line, especially the Pebbles Paper Pad, and I had the hardest time choosing what to make because every pattern and piece is so cute! I decided to go old school and make a new version of something I loved to make in middle school- paper beads. It came to my mind while talking with friends and once I saw the paper pack, I immediately had to give it a try!

These are easy, fun and rather addictive to make and are a great project for kids and moms alike. I also think they would be the perfect craft for sleep over, lazy afternoon, Tuesday, whatever. Plus it is also a great use of scraps! Here is what you need for these fun and easy paper bracelets:

Pebbles 12×12 Paper Pad

Paper Trimmer

Glue Stick

Add a Bead Bracelet with Magnetic Clasp

Cut Paper Strips

The first thing I did was cut long narrow triangle strips of paper that were 12 inches long at at the base around 1/4-1/2 inch wide. I didn’t feel like this was something that needed to be measured because I liked that every bead was slightly different.

Then I started at the wide end and began tightly rolling up the triangle.

Roll Up Paper Strips

Once I had rolled it a few times, I got out the glue stick and applied glue the entire length of the remaining triangle.

Let it Finish Drying

After it was all rolled up, I held it in my hand for about 30 seconds and then set it aside to finish drying. It didn’t take long before they were ready to add to my bracelet base. I love these magnetic clasp bases where you simply unscrew one of the clasps, add you beads and reattach the clasp and done! No pliers or scissors needed!

String Into a Bracelet or Necklace

I loved the bracelet, but truth be told, my daughter stole it… but that is the natural order of things, isn’t it? I hope you liked this tutorial and give it a try and let me know in the comments!

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="400" height="348" src="https://tatertotsandjello.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/paper-bead-necklace.jpg" alt="Homemade Paper Bead Bracelet.
Thank you so much to Jen for having me on today! If you liked this craft, I would love to see you over at my little corner of the internet some time!

**********

Thanks Michelle! What a fun idea and it would be so great for a kid craft, too!

Michelle has great ideas on her blog. Here are a few more ideas I know you’ll love:

Hi everyone! I am SO excited to get my hands on this fabulous Jen Hadfield Home + Made collection. My name is Allison Waken and I blog at All for the Memories and All for the Boys. I have always loved working with paper, but being a busy work at home mom of 2, my time is usually limited. Luckily, my style lends itself towards quick and easy so getting homemade scrapbook pages, home decor or gifts completed in no time is right up my alley!

One thing I always kick myself for not having on hand when needed is cards. I decided to make up plenty of cards ahead of time and display them in a simple cigar box. This would be perfect to do for yourself (especially if you’re like me and always need a greeting card at the last minute) or to give as a gift. Let’s take a look at a few simple ways to make cards.

I measured my box and trimmed some neutral papers (white and black in this case). One of my favorite ways to make a simple card is by using rub ons. I love how the gold from these in the Hand+Made collection pops on the chalkboard paper.

The large stencil makes a fun background for a number of cards. I used some ink and misted it all over the stencil on some white cardstock.

Then, I used some hot glue to attach a gold metal clip and cut out some greetings from a 12″x12″ paper.

That way you (0r the recipient) can use whichever greeting they want or need!

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-5894" src="http://allforthememories.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/aftm-card-box-20.jpg" alt="DIY card box - make cards and place inside a cigar box to display at your home or give as a gift.

Another way to make a simple card is just by layering on some fun, simple shapes. I love how the chalkboard stickers make a fun layer along with patterned papers and thicker.

To make the box I simply screwed on one of these amazing gold plates onto a cigar box.

To make it easy to find the cards I needed I made a few dividers with patterned paper. The labels are just hand cut.

Then, everything was added to the box along with some blank cards to create later.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-5896" src="http://allforthememories.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/aftm-card-box-22.jpg" alt="DIY card box - make cards and place inside a cigar box to display at your home or give as a gift.
Fun, easy and functional – what more could you ask for?! You don’t need lots of time to create something handmade. Even if you’re giving a gift card a handmade greeting is the perfect addition don’t you think?

********

Hello there Tatertots and Jello readers! I’m Ashley and I blog over at Cherished Bliss where I share DIY projects, furniture plans, and anything else that gets thrown in ; ) I’ve very excited to be here today sharing with you how I used some of Jen’s products from her Home + Made line. I was extremely inspired by this line since I am currently in the middle of decorating our basement living area. I wanted it to have a little bit of a man cave feel, but it also needs to be fun for the kiddos too. So today I’m sharing with you some of the Playroom wall art I made.

I typically lean towards a cottage farmhouse look but lately I have really been enjoying a little bit of industrial thrown in so that came out a little! I think my industrial kick all started with my kitchen, but you’ll come to know how often my decorating changes! My husband always jokes that I want to paint everything white, but I think I’m going through a black phase now. I kinda have a thing with color. I’m not good at it. I’m a neutrals kinda girl, what can I say? : )

This wall art is so easy to make! My favorite piece is definitely the alphabet one. Two of my three kids already know how to write all their letters, but I’ve got a 2 year old who will be learning soon and it was super awesome to always have some sort of alphabet displayed for them to use when writing.

Obviously I needed to incorporate this in to my decor! : ) My kids love it, I love it, and my husband loves it… it’s a win-win-WIN! You just can’t beat that. Let’s talk about how to make these, it’s really easy but I’ll tell you everything you need to know!

Supplies:

– Picture Frames
– Scrapbook paper
– Thickers (Alphabet Stickers)
– Number Washi Tape
– Scissors

How to make DIY Playroom Wall Art:

First I took the scrapbook paper and cut it down to the correct sizes for each frame. See.. super easy!

Then I just took my Thickers and laid them out until I was happy with the configuration. Since you can’t take the thickers off of the backing without it sticking I cut around each one leaving it attached so I could move it around…. you know in case I changed my mind (which I do all the time).

I did this for both the “alphabet” and “imagine” wall art pieces.

Now for the “best day ever” picture I used more scrapbook paper as my background and added some of the number washi tape to the top and bottom. The adorable “best day ever” quote comes from one of the pieces of paper in Jen’s collection. I adore the fonts she used!!

I also used some more of these cute little quotes in a little shutter wall hanging I got from Walmart.

I also just framed a piece of scrapbook paper by itself because it was too cute not to! Now I have to say… I don’t have an awesome chalkboard wall in my basement, this is actually just photographed on my oversized chalkboard I built for our Entryway, but it’s got me thinking I might need a wall like this down there! : ) It’s still a big work in progress and I haven’t decided exactly what walls my new favorite pictures will be hanging on, but I’m feeling like they will go with the kids future art station. Maybe I’ll add in some storage ideas to keep all their drawings organized! hehe… I just used the word organized when referring to a space my kids will actually touch.

Welcome to the Summer of Paper series – where we’ve invited fabulous guests to create projects using supplies from my Home + Made paper decor line.

Hi, everyone! Heidi from Happiness is Homemade here, and today I’m sharing how to make this adorable geometric heart home decor piece using papers from Jen Hadfield’s Home+Made collection from Pebbles, Inc.

I’m head over heels for everything in Jen’s line of products, but these gorgeous papers won my heart over at first sight. I knew I wanted to use them right away for this large statement decor piece (perfect for showing off all of those lovely patterns) or else they might fall victim to my pretty paper hoarding tendencies!

What I Used:

Jen Hadfield Home+Made Papers

(20) MDF Triangles

Mod Podge

Foam Brush

Xacto Knife

Gold Paint (optional)

Command Picture Hanging Strips

Start by cutting the paper into 8″ squares, and then cutting the squares into two triangles by cutting corner to corner. This will give you a piece of paper that is just slightly larger than the wooden triangles (it’s really handy to have a little bit of excess overhang so that you don’t have to be too precise when placing the paper down.). Brush a thin coat of Mod Podge on to the wooden triangle, place the piece of paper on top, and apply gentle pressure with your fingers to smooth out any air bubbles.

Allow the Mod Podge to dry for a few minutes, and then use an Xacto knife to trim the excess paper.

Add another thin layer of Mod Podge on top of the paper to seal the edges and protect the surface of the paper. Allow to dry completely.

The edges of the triangles were unfinished wood, so I used my favorite Pale Gold Modern Masters Metallic Paint to give them a bit of shimmer and shine.

The triangles hang easily on the wall with Command Picture Hanging Strips (one strip per triangle). Use a level to make sure that the two bottom base triangles are level.

Once the bottom triangles are level, the other pieces will fall easily into place. Just keep sticking them to the wall row-by-row with the Command Strips until you’re finished.

Easy peasy! I still can’t get over how gorgeous these papers are!

It’s kind of hard to tell in the close-up photos, but the heart takes up about 30″of wall space in my (still-a-work-in-progress) new craft room. The process of making this heart reminded me of piecing together a quilt, so it makes perfect sense that it’s hanging over the sewing corner of the room!

Be sure to stop by Happiness is Homemade to find creative inspiration for the entire family!

**********

Hello Tatertots & Jello peeps! I’m Robin and I’m so happy to be hanging out with you guys today and sharing a little paper wreath I made with some charming papers from Jen’s Home + Made paper decor line!

My blog is called All Things Heart and Home because I believe everything I do in my home is a reflection of my heart. From the smallest things like putting together a craft project to bigger endeavors like remodeling our kitchen …everything is a way to express love and creativity. Come visit if you have time and let’s encourage each other to find inspiration for what matters most.

Jen sent me a box of her amazing paper line and it was really difficult to pick just one project! I’m inspired by the patterns, colors of the papers and the fabulous creative accessories. I have a to-do list of things I’m going to make with everything I got, but today, I’m going to show you an easy paper wreath using three of my favorites from Jen’s papers…

I added a few feathers and I’m thinking this wreath could be used for most seasons or would be really pretty as a party decoration!

If you have a second…I’ll show you just how easy this is to make!

Here’s What You Need:

*3 different 12 x 12 patterned papers (I used Aqua Skies & Love Seat from the Home Made Line) The number of sheets depends on the size of your wreath!

*Paper cut into 2″ strips to wrap wreath (this won’t show – I used plain white paper)

*Styrofoam Wreath Form (I used a 12″)

*Feathers that coordinate with your paper

*Double Side Tape

*Straight Pins

*1 floral pick & piece of string for hanging

*Scissors

*Paper Trimmer (Optional)

*Glue Gun
First, cut paper into 3″ strips…

Make each strip a fringe by cutting narrow slits from the bottom to about 1/2 ” from the top. (The uncut room at the top of each strip is for your double side tape!)

Put a piece of double side tape along the top of each strip of fringe and make branches by rolling into a spiral – starting at one corner. (Roll at an angle)

Cover your wreath with strips of paper using the double side tape to keep it in place. This paper can be plain white paper as it won’t show…the purpose of the paper is to protect the Styrofoam from the hot glue!

Play around with the placement of your paper branches using the straight pins. (I had to work with them, rearranging the branches a couple of times before they were just right!)

When the branches are where you want them, add dabs of hot glue to make certain they won’t move!

Add some feathers here, there and everywhere! (you can dip the end of the feathers in a bit of hot glue to keep them in place)

To hang, tie a piece of string around a floral pick inserted into the back-top of the wreath… (It’s really light weight!)

Jen has so many beautiful papers, you’ll be able to find some that will be perfect for your home!

Thank you for letting me share today…I’d love to connect with you guys!

**********

Thanks Robin! I love wreaths, and this project is so pretty! Robin has so many great ideas on her blog, here are a few I know you’ll enjoy!

Hi TT&J readers! My name is Jennifer and I’m excited to be guest posting here today! I’m a lover of glitter, chocolate, and a good thrift store find. I chronicle my creative adventures on my blog, The Craft Patch. I post craft tutorials, yummy recipes, Pinterest tests, and my latest project: fixing up my 1980’s split-level home.

Do I have any retired scrapbookers in the house? I used to be a die hard and can’t seem to stop buying scrapbook paper, even though I haven’t actually made a scrapbook page in years. Instead, I love using scrapbook paper in unexpected ways and today I’m showing you how you to make the cutest little origami storage dishes.

These DIY geometric bowls are pretty simple to create. With just a little bit of folding and gluing, you can make your very own cute organizers!

Let’s get started!

You will need:

– Scrapbook paper. I used paper from Jen’s new Home+Made stack by Pebbles Inc.

– Scissors

– Glue

– Folding template (found HERE)

1. Cut two pieces of 12×12 scrapbook paper down to the standard 8 1/2 x 11 paper size. One piece will be the outside of the bowl and one piece will be the inside.

2. Open the folding template found HERE. Load both pieces of paper into printer so that it will print on the back of the paper (not the patterned side). Print the template onto the back of both pieces of scrapbook paper.

3. Cut around the outside edge of the hexagon and along the dotted lines, shown in red in the photo below:

4. Begin folding along each printed line. The interior piece should be folded toward the patterned side of the paper and the exterior piece should be folded away from the patterned side, like this:

5. Spread glue across all of triangle #1, then slide the triangle next to it over until the two triangles overlap completely, as shown:

6. Repeat with all of the numbered triangles for the interior piece. Leave two sections unglued on the exterior piece so you’ll have space to insert the interior piece.

Spread glue on the white side of the paper on the interior piece, then fit it into the exterior piece, pressing firmly and smoothing everything out. Glue the remaining exterior flaps closed.

7. Trim any edges along the opening so they are flush with one another.

That’s all it takes to create these versatile little storage dishes. I’m using them on my craft room desk to organize office supplies, but they’d be great for bathroom items, jewelry, or as a catch-all on a nightstand or entryway table.

My favorite bowl turned out to be the one lined with gold foil paper, also from Jen Hadfield’s Home+Made line. Oh, that shine!

Hi Tatertots & Jello readers! My name is Stacey and I blog over at Glued To My Crafts, where I share simple DIY tutorials, kid friendly activities and tasty recipes. I’m super excited to be here today and hope you are inspired by today’s Sign Language I Love You Card – Kid Craft.

Not only is this heart-felt kid craft super simple to make on the fly – but it’s also a great, inexpensive keepsake that children can personalize and send to grandparents, relatives and even close friends. And since they already have the most important part of making this keepsake – a hand – it’s going to be a cinch for them to pull it together!

So what are you waiting for? Follow the simple step-by-step tutorial below to help your child create a one-of-a-kind “love” piece that is sure to put a smile on someone’s face! Happy crafting my friends!!!

Supplies:

* Large Cardstock Cards
* Pretty Scrapbook Paper
* Letter Scrapbook Stickers
* Pencil
* Scissors
* Adhesive

Directions:

* First is the handprint. Simply trace your child’s hand on the scrapbook paper and trim out with scissors.
* Go ahead and fold down the 3rd and 4th fingers of the cutout to create the sign language for “I Love You.” Set aside.
* Grab a paper scrap that is left over and trim out a simple, small heart. Glue to the center of the handprint.
* Now it’s time to assemble your keepsake card. Simply glue your finished handprint to the center of the card front and add an “I” & “U” sticker around it. You can either stop there OR add other embellishments to really personalize it. Then write a heartfelt message inside and mail to the lucky recipient!

Super adorable, right? Wouldn’t this be a cute idea for Valentine’s Day or even for Mother’s Day and/or Father’s Day? And of course – you can change up things to really match a particular style, personality or favorite color. The possibilities are endless!

And don’t think the fun stops here! If you are looking for even more crafty inspiration, I also share Free Printables, tons of Kid Crafts, Recipes, Busy Bag Ideas and DIY Adult Crafts on my blog too.
