Father’s Day Sandwich Bar. Celebrate dad with the ultimate sandwich celebration. Lots of bread options, cheeses, veggies and meats let everyone create their version of the PERFECT sandwich. Dad will love it!

Father’s Day Lunch or Dinner Idea

Every dad is on a quest to create the perfect sandwich. This year, celebrate the dads in your life by creating a festive Father’s Day sandwich bar! You can customize the sandwich fixins to YOUR famile’s perferences.

How to Make a Father’s Day Sandwich Bar

Set up a buffet table to display all of the sandwich ingredients. A long table is preferred. I improvised by creating a make-shift table out of 2 pieces of lumber on top of two of our barstools. I added a tablecloth to the top and you can’t tell that it wasn’t a real table! Add some flowers for a POP of color.

Arrange Sandwich Toppings on Platters or Cutting Boards

Divide different types of toppings and arrange them on separate platters. I used wood cutting boards for most of the toppings. Different topping ideas for a sandwich bar are — breads, produce, cheeses, meats and sauces.

You can customize any of the sandwich fixins to the people attending YOUR sandwich bar. This is a large list of items. You won’t need to create a sandwich bar with all of these items. I wanted to share as many ideas as possible to give you an idea of what could be included!

I set up a panini machine and a toaster oven on a separate table so guests could heat up their sandwiches which brought the sandwich taste level way up! Just run an extension cord over to the table and coordinate the table cloths on both tables.

Free Printable Dad Notes for Father’s Day

Hi everyone! It’s Kiki from Kiki and Company and I am so happy to be here again this month to share a new printable for the rapidly approaching Father’s Day.

Each year, I try to think of new ways to tell my husband (and for my kids to tell their dad) just how much we love him. This year we are giving him Dad Notes:

Dad notes are 9 2″x3″ notes that have prompts on them to fill out to make the dads in your life feel like a million bucks!

The idea is to fill them out and leave them in all of the spots he will for sure see them.

Wherever he will find them, put them there. Let your spouse/dad know how incredible he is on his special day!

Daddy & Daughter Shaving Photos for Father’s Day

Hello Tatertots & Jello readers! I am so excited to be here today. I am Tasha and I blog over at Designer Trapped in a Lawyer’s Body. So nice to “meet” you! My blog focuses mostly on DIY renovations and home decor/crafts as my husband and I renovate our outdated home one room at a time. But, we also have adorable 3-year-old twin girls that I love to take photos of, especially for special occasions like Father’s Day. On my husband’s second Father’s Day, I took these photos of our girls, Attley and Avery, for him. I still smile every time I look at these photos, which are hanging in our girls’ playroom. Today, I am here to share with you the special Father’s Day photos that I shot for this year. Now, before I do that, let me stress that I am NOT a professional photographer. I do have an SLR camera, but it’s not super fancy, and I don’t have expensive lenses. The reason I tell you that is because I genuinely believe that ANYONE can take adorable photos of their kids. You need three basic things: 1) beautiful natural light, 2) an uncluttered background, and 3) an adorable subject(s). TRUST ME, you can do this! Given that our girls are now 3 and are a bit easier to capture on film these days {i.e., they no longer crawl away from cameras}, I decided to try something a little more classic and timeless. I had always thought it would be cute to photograph a little boy helping his daddy shave, but, we don’t have any boys. Then it occurred to me that I was being sexist Why not photograph our girls “helping” their daddy shave?! I decided to go for it. I chose to take my photos in black and white for two reasons. First, I really wanted the photos to have a timeless look. I want to still have these hanging on a wall 40 years from now and I think black and white stands the test of time more than color photos. Second, our bathroom is terribly, horribly outdated and is swathed in brown tile that would not photograph particularly well in color. Black and white hides all sorts of imperfections, like drab tile I just LOVE the way they turned out. I spent about 5 minutes shooting Joe with each of our girls. So we have photos that we will cherish forever with little more than a 10 minute investment. And I have to say everyone, including me, had a lot of fun. The girls thought it was AWESOME and didn’t even notice I was taking photos, since they didn’t have to “pose” for any of them. I have just a few tips for you if you choose to take similar photos: 1) Clear off your countertop and any background clutter that might be visible in the background through the mirror. 2) Stand far enough away from your subjects so that you can crop your own reflection out of the photos, if necessary. Somehow, I managed not to catch myself in a single shot, but depending on the size of your bathroom, that may not be possible, so just leave yourself room to crop. 3) Buy disposable razors and LEAVE the blade covers in place while your kids “shave” your husband’s face. Your husband will thank you. 4) Shoot from lots of different angles. Some of my favorite photos are the ones that I shot through the mirror. Don’t know if something will work? TRY IT! It may look great and if it doesn’t, no harm done. That’s the beauty of digital photography. 5) Most importantly, go with the flow and capture all of the natural moments. Just see what happens. Your kids want to put shaving cream on themselves? GREAT! Shoot it. They want to put it in their hair? Why not?! Shoot it. Just capture it all. In the blink of an eye they will be grown up and won’t want to help their Daddy shave any more. Capture these moments and treasure them forever. This would also be fun to do with a grandfather and his grandkids. The possibilities are endless. Father’s Day Beverage Gift Idea with Free Printable

Hello, everyone! It’s Amy from Positively Splendid here again. I am so excited to be back at Jen’s place today to share another fun printable with you!

Surely I’m not the only one who finds it challenging to find great gifts for the men in my life when it comes to Father’s Day, birthdays, graduations, and other special events. It seems every guy has a special drink they like to enjoy after a long day, so I decided to take that idea and run with it to come up with this fun personalized beverage gift idea that is sure to be a hit!

Start by simply grabbing a few bottles or cans of your guy’s favorite beverage. Then, download and print my cute (and free!) printable gift tags (linked below) onto white cardstock. Use a 2″ round punch to cut each one out, and then punch a hole through the top of each with a regular hole punch. Now, thread some twine through the holes, and tie a tag onto each bottle or can.

In no time, you’ve got an easy, fun gift that any guy is sure to love!

In addition to dads and grads, this idea would also be great for the groom to give as a token of appreciation to his groomsmen.

I love Father’s Day because we can celebrate what a great dad my husband is, my amazing father-in-law, and my dad too!

It’s a day to honor our dads, husbands, and other fathers in our lives.

For me, Father’s Day is a little bittersweet, since my dad passed away a few years ago. He was a great example to my kids, and a great grandpa.
