Colorful Happy Home

Hello! I had a bit of an epiphany about my life and my blog and I am so excited to share it!! When I started blogging I never imagined that I would be blogging daily almost nine years later. I can say with all sincerity that blogging saved my life. I started blogging because I was lonely and what I found is an AMAZING community of lovely, beautiful people who share my love of creating. I’ve found life-long friends and so much more!

Colorful Happy Home

As I went through my divorce I went through a super difficult time and I lost my joy for creating. I was just trying to survive one day at a time. Over the past year as we’ve moved and we have started healing, I feel like I am starting to feel alive again. I kind of lost who I was as I was going through such a difficult time. I also realized that mean comments and negativity can only hurt me if I let them. Strong women build each other up and that is the community I want to be a part of and help contribute toward. I did some soul searching and realized that I missed the COLORFUL happy home I had created with my family.

One of the things that really makes my heart sing is COLOR. I think we love our new community because it’s so COLORFUL. Creating a COLORFUL home has always made me happy and over the past nine years I’ve loved sharing COLORFUL projects on the blog.

I was talking a couple of weeks ago with a friend and saying that I felt like I lost touch with what my “style” is. She said – your style is COLOR. And of course – she was right.

COLOR is what makes me happy and always has.

And it makes so much sense since we live in a community based on COLORFUL homes, I am embracing COLOR in my life again. Last week I made a COLORFUL Spring sign for my porch:
