But, especially anything to do with the holidays. My only free time is late at night when all the rest of the world is sleeping peacefully. I love to paint. Anything and everything. But, my most cherished time is laying back in my recliner with my sweet Bella on my lap. Bella is my dapple dachshund who I rescued 4 years ago. My first rescue pet. She was being used for breeding purposes only. The lady had a collar on her so tightly that is had began to cut into her neck. When she developed a hernia from giving birth so much, the woman decided to have her put down. My daughter heard about it and called me. I drove 40 miles to get her. Being alone 6 days a week, due to my husband being away at work, my sweet Bella has been such a blessing to my life. She’s the best friend I’ve ever had. She has the most gentle and loving demeanour. Just taking time for her, petting and talking about the good and bad of my days is my way to “recharge”. And give me perspective for the next day, as to never taking anything in life for granted. I found the sweetest blessing in a furry little dog. And I am so thankful for that.
