This is so true, your house will always be dirty but your children will just grow up and you thought you just brought them home. Last night I was soo tired but my daughter (10) wanted to paint my nails, I let her, it was our moment. I also love bed time, some people dread it, I love it, it my time with the kids, and sometimes I get to be a tickle monster or sometimes a kissing monster to my 6 yr old that ultimately leads to lots of laughter. I like the kissing one best. 🙂

I just pause and admire my girls. I notice how cute they are, how much they have changed and grown lately, and think about the positives of their little personalities. It’s like stopping to smell the roses. I try to observe them, admire them, and cuddle them every day. That’s what brings me joy.

When my first child was born, my Mom emphasized #1. She said that if I got the dishwasher unloaded, I should celebrate that. Focus on what did get done, not on what didn’t. That has always stuck with me!
