Hi Kathy!

I didn't do anything to the sleeves, just the neckline. I hope you try it!

I went as far as removing all double fabric bits, on the sleeves and the bottom. It is amazing how the shirt feels much lighter and comfy, thanks for giving me the courage to risk ruining my brand new Frida shirt, it is now one of a kind :)

I've done this to nearly every crew-neck t-shirt I own. I remove the entire ribbing around the neck and then cut it into a rounded v-neck in the front. I also trim large boxy sleeves into a more feminine cut. You can also cut slits into the sides of your t-shirts to give it more of a tunic look if the cut is too narrow. I've cut so many t-shirts that people have started asking me to do it for them LOL.

Love this!! I was in Waco two Fridays ago and purchased obligatory grey #shiplap t-shirt at MM. Loved the soft material but hated the fit when I tried it on back here at home in Florida. Just read your blog, grabbed my scissors and went to work on my shirt. Modeled it for my husband who said "#shiplapsexy!" Thanks so much for the inspiration :-)
