Fall Project — Reversible Candy Corn Bunting!

header+pic[2]

I love my Ruffled Burlap Pennant, but wanted to make something kind of Fall-ish and festive for this season. I thought Candy Corn would be fun since it's the same shape as a pennant and reminds me of Fall. I bought some cotton material in orange and yellow and then used some left over canvas from my Halloween Pennant Pillows for the fabric. Supplies: Orange, yellow and white fabric … [Read more...]

Summertime Subway Art project

closeup+outside[1]

I spent last week getting ready to go on Studio 5. I was so excited to do a demonstration on one of my favorite projects -- Subway Art! I had some "craft fails" getting ready, {and a meltdown -- shhh, don't tell} but I persevered, finished my projects and had a wonderful time on the show! One of the projects that I made was a "Summertime" version of Subway Art! It actually ended up being … [Read more...]

Beachy-ish Subway Art Sign {using the Silhouette}

sign+with+shadow[1]

To celebrate the exciting Silhouette Giveaway that's going on now, I am sharing a project each day this week that was created using the Silhouette. I'm working on my bathroom remodel right now, it's going to be a Board and Batten room with beachy colors. So I thought it would be fun to make some Beachy art to do in that room. I chose this phrase because I think it's so true -- your day … [Read more...]

Polka Dot Project — My Polka Dot Runner {rugs}!

It would also be great in an office to keep small things like -- paper clips, staples, push pins or rubber bands organized. I used the same technique that I did when I made my burlap magnet boards, but I cut the boards narrower and … [Read more...]

Pottery Barn-inspired Winter Mantlescape

family+picture+2[1]

I always feel a little blah in January when I take down my holiday decorations. It feels too soon to think about decorating for Valentine's Day for some reason. Yesterday I was flipping through my Pottery Barn catalog and spied this sparkly white mantle-scape.  I loved all of the birds, nests and white and I thought -- hey, I have some nests and bird things around here somewhere... {I just used … [Read more...]
