The other day I had my friend Sarah from Alpine Poppy and her daughter over for a Girl's Subway Art Day. We had a wonderful time chatting and making some Subway Art projects! A Girls Craft Day is a great way to get projects done while having … [Read more...]

New Pillow, Cupcakes and Halloween Parade

I made this saying into a pillow. I think it's funny. I used some soft houndstooth with the burlap.  {making the cupcake wrappers} I was so inspired from all of those Halloween treats I posted about uesterday. When the kids got home from school we made some cupcakes and used the free printables and cupcake wrapper templates. We took some over to our new neighbors but they weren't home … [Read more...]

Dollar Store Craft: Halloween Front Door Project Tutorial

Here's a fun, fast and cheap Halloween project to spookify your front door. I found these witch hats at the Dollar Store. I had the ribbon, but if you don't have any, the Dollar Store has spooky caution tape that is black with green words on it. You could use that and it would be really cute. To make this project this is what you need: 3-4 witch hats some dead branches from your yard or the … [Read more...]

DIY Day: Remake an old wreath into a Spooky wreath

It's DIY Day over at Kimba's A Soft Place to Land. I thought I would join the party! I have had this wreath for about 15 years. Don't ask me why I keep dragging it around with me every time we move. Since I didn't have a Halloween wreath, I thought why not try to turn this old wreath into a new one?    Here's what it looked like before - pretty sad, huh? Here's what I did to … [Read more...]
