In my daughter's new Nautical Teen Room, I used cool outdoor galvanized wall lamps from Lowes: They were super inexpensive and beachy. My oldest daughter has a bedroom in the basement. She loves that she gets space to herself down there, but since it's below ground it is a little dark. Plus, we painted her room brown, which made it even darker (why did we do that???). I love my new Aqua and White Kitchen. I had white cabinets at my last house and loved them. For some reason I thought since this house was a little more rustic that a white kitchen wouldn't work. I am almost done with my Kitchen Remodel. One of the last things I wanted to do was change out my kitchen display cabinet. I had changed it out about three years ago - using wrapping paper instead of wallpaper. I love using heavy-duty wrapping paper instead of wallpaper because: It's cheap -- under $10 for the project. What did we do before Pinterest came into our lives? I am a visual person and I love that I can create a board there with ideas for a room and that room comes to life for me.
