Thanksgiving Project with the NEW Silhouette Cameo!! {and GIVEAWAY}

Update – we have a winner!!

The winner is Marie from Chocolate Covered Chaos!! Congratulations!! {I used And The Winner Is – a random generator to get the winner}

And, if you didn’t win…

there is still time

to get one before they sell out, all you have to do is head over to Silhouette and buy one! [[UPDATED: The promo code “TATER” is no longer valid — sorry!]]

The new Silhouette Cameo is here!!!!

Mine arrived a few days ago and I felt like it was Christmas morning. I couldn’t wait to pull it out of the box and try it out!

I was interested to see what the differences would be between the Silhouette SD and the Cameo. Here are the first three things I noticed:

  • Of course it cuts 12″ wide instead of 9″. Which is awesome for bigger projects!
  • Instead of three blades, the Cameo comes with one, but it is adjustable. And after I tried it out, I can say the settings are much more sensitive.
  • The third thing I love is that it loads so much easier. There are wider rollers and instead of having to load the media several times and having it bunch up, it went through smoothly each time!! Plus, you can adjust the rollers. So if you have a smaller size piece of vinyl or paper you want to cut, you just move the roller over.

Silhouette really listened to their customers and improved an already great product.

The first project I made with my new Cameo was an interactive Thanksgiving Grateful Board!

This board would be a great project to have at your Thanksgiving Dinner.

You can have guests write down things that they are grateful for. I used chalkboard paint on the sign so it’s easily erasable and you can use it year after year!

My kids loved writing things they are grateful for.

It makes them think of their blessings and really brings the true meaning of Thanksgiving to their minds.

We are going to leave ours up all month.

And when we have friends over, they can add their Grateful  items to the list and sign THEIR names to the our board!

Here are just a few of the  things I’ve made with my Silhouette. If you don’t have one, put it at the top of your Christmas list. This is my favorite crafting tool – seriously.

    I have been thinking about getting a cameo and seeing your website and interest boards I think I’m sold on the idea!

  2. Oh what a blessing if I could only win this. I volunteer to teach crafts to a large group of mentally challenged adults and I do not have the funds to buy one. I am disabled and whatever I can beg, borrow or steal is what we have to work with. They are so enthused to come and make crafts, and I always try to make a project that can go home the same day with them. If I had a Silhouette Cameo and starter set I could use paper and makes things that would dry in time to go home the same day. It would be such a great thing to win the machine so I could help these wonderful people brighten their day doing something that they so enjoy. I’ll keep my fingers crossed and hope we are lucky enough to be the winner. Thanks a bunch!

  3. I love it and I want one so bad but can’t afford it at the moment. Never used one of these machines but tried a few by hand. You can see them on my blog. I want to make some more professional and I know the Cameo could help with that. I’d use it to make presents of course :) i’m already a fan of both those fb pages though and your page as well.

  4. Congratulations!!!

  49. I’m following your blog for quite some time. And when I had seen a post about this machine and what it can do. This is amazing. I loooooveeeee it. Especially because I`m graphic designer. And this type of machines can come quite handy in my in my occupation. But because i`m from Europe I can`t buy this machine mainly because the sellers are so far away.
    So if I win this, the first thing I would do is to design 12 thank you cards with this amazing machine and send it to you, every month for one year. Because this machine would really kick start my graphic designing.
