So here’s more than you ever wanted to know about me:
Current obsession:
Asian food. I made a yummy rice noodle soup this week. If I haven’t told you before, when we were in London 9 years ago we found the yummiest restaurant called Wagamama. It’s a noodle place that is fabulous.I have the cookbook and I’m always trying to recreate the experience of being there.
Weirdest obsession:
I love to vacuum. It calms my nerves.
Wearing today- I was wearing my favorite sweater and a skirt and boots.
I love, love, love mashed potatoes. For my father-in-law’s birthday we went to a BBQ place and their mashed potatoes were so yummy. I also love to make The Pioneer Woman’s Smashed Potatoes.
What would make today special:
We had fluffy Belgian waffles using my new waffle maker that I got to open early for Mother’s Day!
You’d like to learn to:
I got Photoshop for my birthday. I really want to learn that program and learn how to use my fancy camera. I still take all of my pictures on “auto” – lame, I know.
Last thing you bought:
Some face cream. I am addicted to face creams…
Food network – I love watching Food Network on Sunday afternoons!
Favorite weather:
Hot, hot, hot. I love living here because during the summer the nights are balmy. It’s so nice to walk at night when it cools off but it’s not cold.
Most challenging goal now:
Just trying to help my kids turn into kind, self-sufficient people.
One who tagged you:

The fabulous Duckie from A Duck in her Pond! Love ya Duckie!
Anywhere to live:
I love it where I am. But sometimes I long to live in the eastern US where I lived when I was young.
Want in your hands now:
A copy of Food Network magazine. I need to figure out my meals for this week.
Like to get rid of:
Mean people.
Anywhere for an hour:
Target?? Or a good book store.
Language to learn:
Spanish would be helpful.
Look for in a good friend:
Someone who is genuine and like a good laugh. Doesn’t take themselves too seriously and is fun to be around.
Meet in person:
???
Favorite type of music:
Pop?
Favorite clothing owned:
Jeans and shirts.
Cupcake shop owner or designer.
$100 to spend on:
Probably at Target.
Pet peeve:
Mean people.
Who do you admire:
So many people for different reasons.
Personal style:
Comfortable but cute.
Favorite beauty product:
Lip gloss. I feel naked without it.
I’m passing this fun game on to whoever would like to do it. I love getting to know you. Thanks for being such wonderful blogging friends!
And finally, Ella knocked my computer to the ground on Thursday night and killed the hard drive, so I had a list of awards that I was going to blog about, but it went kapoof. So if I don’t mention some, I’m so sorry. I truly appreciate them and am really touched that you thought of me!
Kim from The Ungourmet gave me the Friends Award. Thanks so much Kim! If you haven’t been over to her blog, Kim has the most wonderful dishes that she makes. I made her Greek Hamburger Wraps a couple of weeks ago and my family is still raving!
Miranda (Duckie) from A Duck in her Pond gave me the Lemonade Award. You know I love you Duckie. You are an amazing writer and person!
Kelli from Outside My Kitchen Window and Heather from Visions of Sugarplums both gave me the Splash Award. Thanks so much girls! Kelli is a really great mom and is always doing all sorts of great projects for her kids. And Heather is an accountant and crafter – she is so creative!
And Xazmin from This is the Year and {E} from Swoon both gave me the Super Blogger Award. Thanks! Xazmin is a super creative mom – she has a really cool get-together every month called Mod Podge Mania which is tons of fun. And {E} is a really sweet girl who has really fun theme parties and ideas.
